Hi all, I just bought a 1979 bus and it has quite a bit of rust and the sunroof looks to be ready to fall down. My question to all you people in the know is this.... Can I replace the big, heavy metal sunroof with a ragtop sunroof? Seems like it would be an easy fix for a big problem. Is there a kit or something out there?
Thanks for your help in advance

First off, Welcome Chris to Love My Bus. I don't know for sure but, I believe that there are not any particular "kits" to replace the bus's sunroof. I think that what most people do is buy a generic cloth top that is slightly bigger and cut the roof to fit. I could be wrong though.

I found this a few weeks ago, I was looking at a '70 bay with a sunroof that the cabels and all were history. It's geared toward the weekend warrior do it yourself type.
Seems interesting...
