Hello to everyone,
I'm new to the VW world. My wife and I just bought a 1970 Camper named Matilda. It has the usual body rust. I've done sheet metal repairs before so I'm OK with that. I'm a little worried about repairing 2 sections of the frame. The front 6 inches of the frame where the front sheetmetal is welded to it needs repairing . The section around the front outrigger just behind where the frame kicks up at the front suspension is a little iffy. The area around the front suspension is solid and the rest of the frame is good. Has anyone here repaired these sections before ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed

Hello matilda aka Ed, wel come to LMB, Not for sure if I've seen any posting on that here (I've been in and out over the past year). Can you take some pics and show us? Were a bunch of visually impaired here. I'm sure someone can help.  4

My  Welcome too Ed   Maybe you've seen it by now, but good ship lollipop has a thread going below this one dealing with frame problems. Pictures of that caliber would really help.
