My floor jack was working fine, then I think I loosen the handle too much and Hydraulic fluid came out.

I put the bolt back in, which is attached to the handle, added more fluid, but I can't get it to work.

It doesn't need more fluid, because when I went to check that level out, it burst out, as if I had pressure built up.

Am I supposed to "drain out the air" some how.  There are no other valves.

any help, thanks

I wish I could help you...I just bought my first floor jack when I bought Betty 6ish months ago.  I wouldn't have a clue what to do if it went wrong.

Even if you fix it...don't ever count on it for anything dangerous.  Always use jack stands  39   Should always use jack stands anyway.  angel

you got an air pocket in your jack, just needs a bleed like brakes. There should be a bleeder valve near the bottom of where the handle attaches. I have the craftsman alimuminum jack, had to be done when it was brand new.

Crap can happen anytime, anyplace. Use your jackstands!!!!

Kevin was changing a tire once when he worked for DHL and the van slipped off the jack. It was jacked properly, it just didn't stay for whatever reason. Caught his wrist between the wheel well and the tire of the wheel he was putting on. Thank God his arm wasn't seriously injured, but the scar remains where his wrist was wrenched and the skin was peeled....

If you go through Harbor Freight, you can get a decent pair for cheap. Whatever you pay is worth it, though. Make them a part of your tool collection.

I'm under these things everyday. So, I'm a firm believer in jack stands.

CHANGE THOSE FUEL LINES, ALL OF THEM.

Remember to put a piece of plywood under the jack stand when in dirt. Jack stands can and will slowly settle into the dirt. What was nice and stable at first can become unstable as time goes by. A blacktop driveway in the heat of summer can do the same thing.
