Betty has been good for a while!  So don't get sore at her.  She's old  angel

Here are the facts:  Cool

New rear wheel cylinders and shoes.

Betty stops straight as an arrow until I apply hard pressure to the brake pedal and she REALLY tries to bolt to the left.

Here is what I HOPE is wrong:  I did not do a good job bleeding my new right rear wheel cylinder.  I will bleed it again this weekend and hope for a cure.

What I THINK is wrong:  One or more of my rubber brake lines on the right is/are closing up under heavy loads.

As you all have told me time and again...check the simple stuff first.  I HOPE it is some air in the system.  I don't want to fiddle with the rubber lines.

What are your thoughts?  Am I missing something?  LMB RULES!!!!  Grin

If her rubber lines are original, then it might just be that time.  I got mine before X-mas, and still haven't gotten around to doing them.  If you do replace them, just take your time and PB up everything real well a couple days in advance.  You might even take a small soft metal brush to the fittings inbetween PB Blastings to get the dirt off real well.

Remember to start at the farthest wheel from the master cylinder first and work your way to the closest one.  Refill the reservoir frequently and never let it get empty or else you'll have to do it over.

Oh yeah, one more thing.  BUD LIGHT!!!  Thumbs up! 7 30

Sounds exactly like what mine was doing. I had a rubber line completely blocked. I would swerve violently to the left (right hose was clogged) because the left brakes were the only ones getting brake fluid to them. Took 5 minutes for each(fronts), my back hoses and cylinders are on thier way from busdepot.

That's what my Betty's doing!!!!  That's my Betty!!!!!!

Thanks for the good advice...I figure I need new rubber lines anyway, so I shall order them too!!!

Then I will drink Bud Light and install them.  I am a multi-tasker  Cheers
