I saw this in Honolulu a few months ago and had the opportunity go see it again today.  I hate seeing a bus just rotting.  Curiosity killed the cat, so I left a note under the wiper to inquire about the owners intent.  He called back and said I could make an offer.  Says that it runs and the drive train is good.  Said that the upholstery was redone a while back, I hadn't looked inside to check that.

So am I stupid or what?  I haven't even started the body work on mine yet, still trying to figure out the logistics on that.  I have enough of my mothers commons sense to walk away but enough of my fathers impulsiveness to ask and entertain the thought.

Honestly................. with that much rust that you can see............. there will be 3 times that you don't....... 102....... if you need a bus for parts.......... and the drivetrain is good....... 102......i would look at it as a parts vehicle....... sometimes you gotta let them die......but if it's cheap enough get it for parts..... Thumbs Up! 1.

I do bodywork and metal work............ i wouldn't tackle it....  No

Don't get me wrong ..... it can be saved........ Doh!

Hope i didn't burst your bubble....  LOL

Oh yeah...........  not many of its parts will work on your '75 bus

Oh Man!!! No Parts bus.  Not much sheet metal to save.  Windows, interior, drive train (motor won't interchange with yours) but its pieces parts.  If its cheap enough crap buy it and drive it until it melts and part whats left.  Get a tetnus shot first.  And I thought my 77 was bad. eusa_sick

Thanks for the voices of truth   eusa_clap  I was afraid someone would say yeah go for it and push me off the bridge  LOL

I just don't understand why someone would just let it rot like that.   Huh

I'll have to think about the parts thing.  I have a feeling he wants too much.  Said I was the third person to ask in six months...but its still there.
