I like it. It's down to 1,000 so that's not bad. I am always cautious when people POR 15 floors. People tend to just slop it over rust and think it's OK. I would also be worried about the loose wires. Finally he only paid $100 for the car in the first place.

Check the floors carefully. There are no replacement floor pans made for a type 3 and they are not the same shape and size as beetle pans (the squareback pan is about three inches wider on each side of the car than the beetle). We have a squareback in the shop now that needed floor replacement and we have had to fabricate the floors making the seat rails a challenge.....

The dual carb set up is good since you'd have a heck of a time trying to get the fuel injection replaced and working properly - those parts are very hard to find and VERY expensive when you do.

Just be sure to check the floors and look at the edges of the seat rails, too....
