Just got back from a local junkyard. Good news first - no aircooled vw's to be found excepting these sad beetles. Got a vw emblem off a smushed 80's cabriolet, better than nothing - I'll stick it on the old hub cap on my spare out front...........

The beetle in the first pic has a dented hood and engine cover, the last pic was my favorite - rust all over , but heater channels intact - it's roof seemed rounder than the others, maybe it's older? (it had a flat windscreen).

The rims on the gold one in the third pic are definitely worth saving, and would be well worth the effort so $alvage them.
