Hey guys well got a full tune up done on the square and will not pass smog.  No The PO is a complete DICK and will not answer my calls or anything. So does anyone have any tips tricks ideas anything? There is a guy here that says he will pass me for 120. OUCH but its getting close to 30 days and dont want any late fees. So i dont know what to do! Thanks anyone who has any ideas. Am i better off to just pay it and get it on the road and worry about it later for next year?

Is a smog test like D.E.Q.? Is this a California regulation that even OLDER vehicle must abide? Ya know sometimes you gotta sleep at night and no matter how painful $$ or irritating something is, if you just do it, it will soon be behind you. The joy of taking your bus down the road will help you forget it soon enough. Sorry you have to deal with it all.

I don't have any experience with smog related systems, but I do know that vehicles fail for various reasons and at various points each relating to a different problem with the car. So which test did it fail? High rev? Idle? Co2? No?

Go to "Itinerant-air-cooled.com" and PM "Amskeptic."  That's the famous Colin, and he'll talk you through a smog-passing procedure.  He knows a few tricks that will help your numbers, and then you can re-tune for better performance after the test.
