Okay.... here's my quick question:

I'm always reading the little trivia things or announcements that pop up under my avatar and the log in time. I keep catching the one about how in 1964, the T-handles changed to push buttons on the decklid/engine lid. (Is it still called a decklid on a single cab?? Guess that's another quick question!)

So, was it changed in 1964 for the 1965 models or was it changed in late 1963 or early 1964 for the 1964 models? This is one of those parts that Cricket needs and she is a 64....

Thanks!

My 64 has the push button. Well actually use to , someone took it without permission! I believe a decklid is a deck lid no matter the year of bus. I think it's the window above it that has a different name, barndoor, hatch etc.

Barndoor actually refers to the huge "decklid" on the pre '55 buses.

Same push button, then, as the Beetles? If so, I happen to have one of those!!!

Thanks, guys!
