I just installed Clyde's new ears.......... ........ Early style bus mirrors for Bay Window busses........... I have wanted a set for many years and finally some NOS ones came up for sale.......  found them here  http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=795522 

You can definitely tell the difference driving..... way better vision....

Lookin' good!  Before I put mine in (be glad you don't have a mirror that acts as a door pin  ), I found a little something that you may want to check.  Your's are probably a bit better made than mine, but kinda pull back the outer rubber thing and see how the glass itself is attached to the metal frame... mine from WW had two sticky pads at the top and bottom!    Before reassembling and painting them, I put a good bead of silicone all the way around where the mirror sits to make sure it doesn't collect water or... fall out... inadvertently. Hope that helps!

  Actually, my dad has a campfire wood stand by the road and sells logs in them.  Gets the boxes free from grocery stores and fills them with wood that he's cut, split and dried.  Pretty slick op... he's been doing it for a good decade.  Pays taxes.
