We need a generation of world peace before all children are welcomed by both parents....
Things are so much more complicated than that. One could say, "If everyone just liked buses, we would have world peace." While possibly true, it neglects to mention the hard part; getting people to like buses. Make sense?

I agree with you sis. we should always beware of arbitrary lines drawn on maps. Borders and Boundaries have been used to segregate one group of people from another, for the last 10,000 years. Once we became sedimenatary and left the Hunter & Gather lifestyles, boarders became important because we had a much more limited food supply. Borders are a way of saying this group is not like us, once that is done it is much easier to not care what happens to them, because they are not your people. With that said, to me there is a quick solution to world peace that only requires two words, end desire. If we stop desiring things, then we will no longer want for anything. If we no longer want anything, then we will no longer care what other people have and attempt to take it from them. Buddha is right, but it sounds like a dull world, where we all die young, if we are born at all. |

I concur that if we all had a mind set of one world , one people we should be able to attain world peace . However until you get the two kids down the street to quit fighting over a bicycle or whatever it isn't going to happen . Keep in mind that religions and governments are what keep us apart .
