If you want to discuss a genius with talent then we should be talking about Van Morrison .   :028:

You dont consider John Lennon genius, that man had amazing compositional techniques.
I dont know much about Van except his one hit wonder to me, brown eyed girl.

Anyhoo, John Lennon I find it interesting that he stripped his Casino to let it "breathe" and covered it with nitrous cellulose. When I buy mine, well I will be complete when I buy mine. The guitar has such a distinct sound it produces. That and the old gibson es's.
Hillarious man, dreamer, revolutionist and dearly missed.

Oh yah and he was in the greatest band that has ever been in music, the beatles but ya know, w/e . haha

The Beatles were genius.  They took the opportunity given to them by their success as a "boy band" and used it to revolutionize popular music.

I'm not saying they weren't . Only that they are not the only genious out there in the music world . Hell out of England there were no better virtuosi than John Renbourne and Bert Jansch . Same generation as well .

No harm , no foul gang .

The guy was a funny man that got taken too quick to do what he could have. Amazing composer, amazing guitarist and an amazing human. I cant say that often but I can about him.

Eep , I don't know if they are still there but they were when I last lived in the City in '93 . On the corner of Height and Masonic or close to the corner was a used record shop and down the street a little ways was another .
Try to find a couple of albums by a duo called "Pentangle" and listen to the virtuosity my brother .
Best regards, Wizz

I always loved the Beatles. I really enjoy/ enjoyed Paul McCartney's songs too. And George's and Ringo's as well...

I was heart broken when they split up  :022:

All Things Must Pass westy, I am a huge beatles fan, but I can still enjoy their music everyday and thats really important too. I remember the first album I bought by them was Sgt. Peppers, I was astounded by the dynamics and timbre.

The summer of my 13th year, my father took my brother and myself to Ireland for the summer. He wanted us to experience life without TV etc.

He did allow me to bring a cassett player and two cassetts: Sgt Peppers Lonly Hearts Club Band and Iron Butterfly's In a Gadda da Vida ( I had recored the entire albums onto the cassetts before we left) so for three months, I listend to nothing but.

I still hear the 20 minute drum solo when I close my eyes! :041: I always loved that album, ah, mr Kite and his circus...
