Do my bus windows open?
« on: April 22, 2012, 11:40:04 AM »
I have a 1966 split window. It has the barn door. It has three windows on each size. It appears that they should open with a type of latch. I see they all have a piano type hinge on them. Only the two rear window have latches on them. Are they all suppose to open? I have no clue here....HELP!!!!

Hello,
I don't know much about splits, I'm trying to work a deal with a friend for one now, but that's another story...
I'll ask him about it and get back to you.

yes they should open, if they have the hinge then yes, there are some of the side windows that were not intended to open but those were the very back on the 13 window and the seals for those can be used on the rest.

if it is a 66 it isn't a barn door, barn door refers to the back hatch (it has a single instead of 2)
if it ain't aircooled it ain't worth having!
