Battery idiot light

Ok spent all day under my bus working on electrical issues running wires fixing odds and ends anyways ran and connected a few wires that weren't connected prior the problem i have is my batter idiot light on the dash stays lit now matter if the bus is running or not thought it might be just a low battery from leaving the acc on to troubleshoot some stuff but after charging it for a bit still on any idears????

The "red light on" means that you're using more electricity than the bus is generating.

If the problem wasn't there before you re-connected those wires, try disconnecting them again. They may have been disconnected to solve this very problem.

Or start pulling fuses, one at a time, to see if the circuit the fuse controls has a short.

John Muir's How to Keep your Volkswagen Alive contains a pretty good procedure for tracking down problems of this sort.
