73 Westy Parts, breaking her down :(
« on: April 12, 2010, 01:16:41 PM »
Well, with remorse, I am going to be breaking down my 73 Westy (camper).  She was running when I parked her, but that was several years ago.  There are many, many salvageable parts.  If you are looking for something CHEAP, give me a call.   803-707-6310.  I am sure the most valuable component, her engine, could be reworked quite easily.  It was a newly factory rebuilt engine when I bought the bus in 2000.  "Probably" less than 20k on it!  But I will need some help in learning how to ship it.

I live in Cameron SC, which is neither too far from I-95 (exit 98 is only 15 miles) nor from I-26 (10 miles).  I will be glad to take a picture of the engine for you.   I let my kids paint the bus recently at one of their birthday parties, so she isn't looking like she once did ^_^.  I may likely pull the engine soon anyway and see what it might need to come back to good form!

just fyi, the steering columns changed in the middle of the 74 model year. So 73 and 76 will not swap. What part of the column do you need?

Solong, does your westy have a stool or a side step? I'd be interested in either of those. howbout a straight back bumper, trailer hitch? Hows the interior?
Im in Fla, not a bad road trip to S.C.

Hi, I'm looking for refrigerator racks for my 71 Westy fridge. Do you have some, and would they fit in mine?
