front beam
« on: August 24, 2009, 04:26:50 AM »
Hello,
I have a 1970 Camper I'm in the process of redoing. I noticed a crack on the front beam around the area where the steering arms pivot. Has anyone fixed this area before or would a new beam be a better option? I see a lot of places that sell beams for bugs. Where can I get one for a bus?
Thanks,
Ed

I would browse ebay or junkyards near you. You could contact KCW at http://www.kustomcoachwerks.com/ they do a lot of beams. Or you may want to contact an experienced welder about having them fix it.

I'd just weld it or have it welded......... should be able to do it on the bus........  thumb1
