Title: Who has seen this movie?
Post by: Rocky Raccoon on September 05, 2006, 02:59:49 PM
This movie was a good movie. Most people think anything entertaining is good film but I disagree seeing as I used to work in the movie business. But this piece of work had some good emotion to it and really connected you to the storyline and characters. Oh yah and the whole thing of a BUS BEING IN THE FILM.  It was about the time I started getting into buses when I saw this and I figured the whole door falling off scene was just hyperbole, I was wrong I guess the doors really do come right off sometimes. Either way it was a great film!

Haha. the rear windows in the my old nova were like that....they were there and sometimes functional but id never let anyone roll them down. I think chevy did it as a cruel joke.

One of these days when I get a roundtuit , I need to adjust the cables so that my sliding door willl open from the inside . I also need to regrease all the slide areas again very soon .
I really love my bus , as much as I love my moto............sickle and that's definitely saying something .
My younger brother in law was out here last spring , now that he's almost 40 we've come to appreciate each other a great deal more , said to me as we were cruisin' in the Magic Bus ; " ya know , your Camaro was a nice car , but this is definitely you ."
And I thought , what a nice compliment .

if ya cant get the slider handle to workj cos it feels like summin will break, spray CRC, WD40, jesus juice etc along the entire length of the cable.... use lots of it and do it a few times.... it will soak through the metal sheath into the rusty cable underneath and make it work again.  :033:

And on the topic of dodgy cars... the BMW 528i that I drive when I'm not driving the bus (very rarly) has fast glass that isnt so fast going back up... imagine driving a bus and having the engine rapidly sieze up due to lack of oil whilst driving.... that just about sums up the operation of the BMW's back windows hehehe... they rapidly grind to a halt about a third of the way up lol :Drogar-Thinking(LBG):

I just finally saw this as it came out on DVD.

My favorite ending was when they stole the 6 foot trophy as a team...

It was disturbing to see what those parents did to their little girls to win, just like Jon Bennet Ramsey.

I have to vote that it was a good movie as well.  But then again, any movie giving a bus so much exposure has got to be good.

I saw it finally on the weekend! DVD rental in the comfort of my own cushy sofa at home.......I cant get into this huge thread and comment stuff- you guys started it like a year ago or something. So heres what i think;

Movie was cool..nice bus scenes. It was funny too. Even had morals. I kept thinking..... :017:....damn that bus goes faster than mine.... The brother was good in it too...and the girl...the father was a complete A**H***, but yes a completely nescessary character in the movie- wasnt he annoying!......The only thing that really sucked tho was that grandpa died of an overdose too early in the film...he was a cool character....would have been good to see him raise some more hell...

That problem is mentioned in the Idiot Manual.  Has something to do with a wire routed near steering stuff and getting rubbed raw n shorting out.

that happened to me...you can just fix if by wrapping electrical tape around your steering column... i also heard that busses are notorious for loosing their sliding door....

I saw it!! I really liked it. Steve Carell is one of my favorite actors. Now granted, this wasn't as humorous as some other Carell movies, but I think it was more of a dramatic piece, and I think that even though it wasn't a 'gutbuster', it was better in many ways. The dance at the end was a little bizarre, but hey it still added another dimension to the movie. I highly recommend it if you havent seen it!
