I cannot seem to find the right diagram for my weber carb. I'm running a 1915cc engine I built from the heads on out, and I had the carb rebuilt by the guy who built the rest of the engine (crankcase, camshaft and all that). I have one big and one tiny screw on the left and right side of the carb. Which one does what? I turned the big ones (which I'm assuming are the butterfly valves for gas) on both sides to the right till the engine died, then backed off a bit to get it running again. Went back and forth a bit on both till the enginge sounded best, and the exhaust seemed right. I did the same thing to both sides as I was doing this for the sake of balance. What's the "right" way to do this, asides from getting the enginge running the smoothest and guessing? The whole system has about 4k miles on it so far, no overheating or any other issues, although the rear bumper above the tailpipe has some black soot built up on it. Too rich a mix, mayhaps?
