So I just pulled my engine for the first time and as i was stripping it i realized this.....(see picture)....Is it possible to salvage this? What will this do to the engine running wise? Could this be why Gus wouldn't start? Any input or reactions or comments will help. Thanks PEace!

That's interesting.  I would think that you might be sucking big air into the throttle body, but I don't understand enough about how the valve works to say for sure.  Is that  recent  damage (any shrapnel laying around the engine compartment)?  If it was me I'd put it on a list of possible culprits for a non running bus.

Great picture, looks like your EGR is levitating   LOL
