well i got a stereo for my car and i have no clue how to hook it up...
if anyone could help me out that would be awsome

you might have to cut out some clearence behind your dashboard, since modern radios are deeper than older ones. if you don't want to cut holes, you can also instale the radio in your glove box. and find a vintage radio to put in your dash for looks.

What kind of stereo? Is it a two post like the original or is it a newer cassette or cd player. The depth will be fine on a newer one but the width will not. You will need to enlarge the whole in the dash just a tad for it to fit.

Wiring, depending on what type of stereo you have, for most newer ones you will need a constant power, a key on power, a ground and two wires to each speaker. If you want to bring only one power, then you can use a constant source and wire it to both the key on and the constant wire on the stereo, but you will have to remember to turn it off when you are done. If you use a key on source to both, then you will loose your settings and presets after you turn off the key.
