hey guys, so I am getting close to almost finished! So the question is where do the wires go to, the ones that come fromthe double, relay. I am refering to the ones that are fused. The setup is from a 77 (f.I )
I thought one would go to the heater fan?  Also what number fuse should be in the inline holder.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Here's a quote from Karl on the samba about the wiring on a double relay.

Quote
Before you spend too much time...... it sounds like the double relay is not getting power to run the fuel pump.

On the left side frame channel where the aux battery sits: Do you see a black in-line fuse holder? I hope you do! It will have 2 black wires on the back end and 1 black wire on the front end.

The 1 wire goes to the backup light switch on the trans.

The 2 wires: one goes to the double relay for ignition on power. The other MUST be connected to the + side of the coil. A lot of people miss it... The double relay is NOT fused.

OK I was able to power the double relay. I can hear the click when the key is turned. IT still wont start, I don't hear the fuel pump, but it is just me (up at the seat) so I might be missing it. (I know the pump works) I knowI have spark, I gotta check to see if the fuel is getting to the engine. (new filter, and hoses)(( and yes there is gas!))

also I wanted to ask .....the back up light switch on the trans, is that the push on connector at the front of the transmission? when I hear switch I am thinking of something like a light switch.

I think I might be missing a wire going from the fuse box to the dash....

ok I just saw a in line wire connector coming off of the regulator. well it is actually running out from the alternator "harness". Checking the wiring diagram it looks like there should be a conection coming from the starter?. 77 F.I.
