In December 1962, Heat "exchangers" were introduced. Air was heated for use in the cabin by passing air over heated compartments instead of directly passing air that has cooled the engine into the passenger compartment.

I am looking for anyone who has some detailed pictures of the 68-73 Westy Continental camper.  In particular I am looking for detailed pictures of the upper bunk hardware as I want to make one for my Westy and replace the Suicide cot.  Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi SE,  I have been on a hiatus for a few months.  Did you keep you westy or did you sell?  I have not been keeping up on the VW scene lately.

 3 he is here to stay, and now has a non running sister too! I built it from scratch.  do a search on thesamba for continental and you will find a thread I started on the build process.
