It has almost no rust. It has some bondo on the sides from years ago.

Has 2 barrel weber, not fuel inj. 2lter engine.
Read...weber progressive two barrels "typically" do not run well on the Type 4 engines.
Always starts. Carb needs some work.

Even if it doesn't run the best, it's not too awful for $1400. I would talk to the owner and get some more information about the bus. Get him to send you loads of picture (loads being 40+) of every part of the bus. Then, try to find somebody in the area to go and look the bus over for you or, if you want a trip into the states, you might see if somebody who is knowledgeable will tag along with you. Post up on the samba, there are a lot of bus pilots in that area, somebody will help you out.
