I'm going to put this out here, and hopefully not curse the potential in the process. Through a customer of mine I've located a 69 camper bus, non-pop-top style, that is supposedly 100% original. (I've not seen it in person.) It's the beige color that was stock for that year, has zero rust, and has been kept either in a garage or under cover it's entire life. The guy that has it is the second owner, having inherited it from the original. It hasn't been driven for at least a decade, and hadn't been started in 4-5 years until this past weekend, when the new owner started it for shits and giggles. It ran fine after sitting that long. The brakes would of course have to be gone through, and I'd imagine all the fluids changed, battery, carb rebuild, the standard stuff.
Anyway, I'm just seeing if there's any interest out there. I've no idea what he's going to be asking for it. I probably could have scored it for <$500 today, but I don't take advantage of people's lack of knowledge. I referred him to thesamba.com for some comparative analysis. I know, I know. I've been cursed with a conscience.
